Dear Sojourners, Considered the Sovereignty of God lately?

Dear Sojourner Sisters,

Have you considered the Sovereignty of God lately and how that plays into your everyday encounters and experiences?

What does the phrase, " the Sovereignty of God even mean? It's archaic-sounding, isn't it? On the other hand, in our century, it has become a catchphrase of sorts on many tongues, tossed around often to indicate the level of one's understanding of the Holy or as a sign of deep piety.

However, at the core of my being, I wonder if we really understand the meaning and its implications, how would we live differently? How would we worry less, stop our striving and need for control, if we truly believed God is Sovereign?

SIMPLY - "the Sovereignty of God" means, "GOD IS IN CONTROL".  But, do we really believe and trust God is in control of all he's created, and that by his great power and word HE sustains it all?  Let's take the next couple of days to meditate upon the richness of these spiritual pearls of wisdom.

Here are 2 of my favorite verses to help think more on the topic and pray for more faith and trust in the Sovereignty of God.

God is above all things and before all things. He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. He is immortal, and He is present everywhere so that everyone can know Him (Revelation 21:6).

God created all things and holds all things together, both in heaven and on earth, both visible and invisible (Colossians 1:16).
